Bill Butler
Asset Manager
Bill Butler is an Asset Manager at Trigild, where he oversees asset management and operational strategy for court-appointed receiverships and other distressed real estate assignments. His responsibilities include financial oversight, property operations, leasing, capital projects, lender reporting and execution of asset stabilization initiatives across a diverse portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties.
Bill earned his bachelor’s degree from Amherst College and his Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School.
Prior to joining Trigild, he worked at Northeast Bank, where he focused on bridge lending, note-on-note financings, construction lending and acquisitions of distressed loan portfolios. Bill subsequently spent more than six years at HFF / JLL, where he was involved in the disposition of performing and non-performing commercial real estate loans, REO assets, and institutional investment properties nationwide. He later joined JLL’s Student Housing Capital Markets team, advising on student housing investment sales and equity placement transactions before transitioning to Trigild.
Bill’s background spans lending, capital markets, distressed debt, receiverships, asset management and complex real estate workouts, providing him with a comprehensive perspective on real estate investments throughout the capital stack and asset lifecycle.
